Sep 5, Wake Up World! But then What?

I am wondering if the people on this planet is either dumbed down by too many stupid sitcoms or do they know their lives are about to change! The biggest storm already happened but it takes a while for everyone to "get it!" It takes awhile for the aftershocks to level the seemingly unaffected markets at this time. The economic bubble most of the world lived in comfortably is over as we all know it. If it hasn't collasped it is collasping or greatly reduced in size! There are no real solutions for the average individual other than to weather the storm as best as you can. Stay out of risky ventures and secure the basics while you can to get through this major readjustment. Try to maintain a positive attitude and we will all get through what the world is witnessing as the greatest financial loss the world has ever seen. Not everything being equal we will see what is close to or in some things greater than what our parents and grandparents saw during the great depression in North America and the European economy between the two World Wars. In many ways this is greater because it affects all in a world economy.

Aug 27, Who really controls the U.S.

With quotes like this:

"If the U.S. government allows Fannie and Freddie to fail and international investors are not compensated adequately, the consequences will be catastrophic,'' Yu Yongding, a former adviser to China's central bank, said last week. "If it is not the end of the world, it is the end of the current international financial system."

who really controls America?
As Americans, we have a stake in protecting and maintaining our freedoms in this country. To be indebted to no one is our greatest freedom.

Did we let our politicans change our freedoms into bondage to other governments? Can we blame big business?

Statements like the one above points to just that. Debt is never good, therefore absymal debt is catastrophic! Who did it to us? We all did! It looks like we may all have to anty up if our brilliant businessmen and politicians can't patch up what is quickly deflating. I have no solutions. I can only hope it will get fixed because the consequences are already consuming many of us now.
